C&O Alleghany Subdivision

Jim's Model Trains is a website for my Ho scale model railroad. As of February 1, 2017 it is still under construction. I plan to share photos and videos of the construction process. I will also have links to other information related to Model Railroading. I

The layout is going to be set in the early 1950's. The location is Hinton West Virginia to the Allegheny West virginal. Railroad serving the area is the Chesapeake and Ohio. the C&O will operate both late steam and early diesel models. I like electronics so there are more CTC signals than what where for this time but I wanted them so they are on there. I am not building this to prototype but rather what I want to be there.

Control for the layout is Digitrax DCS100 with additional DB150 Booster. Signals are controlled by the Digitrax SE8C by use of JMRI(Java Model Railroad Interface) . JMRI is used for switch control as well and they are driven by SE8C as well. I am using the Digitrax BDL168 for block detection. Track protection is provided by the Digitrax PM42 power management and short circuit controller.

I will try and keep this updated as I progress. Pictures are not available yet but I do have a couple of videos posted.
